Enrolled Students

Communication between instructors and students in online courses is facilitated through the E-mail and Blackboard systems. E-mail allows one on one correspondence between instructor and student. Blackboard is the central course adminstration system providing access to course information, schedule, syllabus, assignments, resources and collaboration.

Blackboard Login URL: http://blackboard.ship.edu

Blackboard Username and Password automatically created from enrollment database.

as of July 2006
Username: <your entire Ship Email Address>

Example: js1234@ship.edu

Password: <First 4 characters of Last Name>+<Your Birthdate YYYYMMDD>

Example: smit19850210

To change your password after you have successfully logged into Blackboard:
Click on "Personal Information" > click on "Change Password".

Courses you are enrolled in will automatically be listed on your "Welcome" page after logging into Blackboard.
